Our Story
The Student Book Store opened for business in 1960 with approximately two thousand square feet of retail space. We had two full-time employees and one part time. At that time Michigan State University had 17,000 students enrolled. The University has grown and expanded its offerings over the last fifty years, becoming one of our nation's premier educational institutions with enrollment in excess of forty thousand students. Student Book Store has also grown and expanded its selection over those fifty years. Our primary mission, as always, is to supply the University community with their educational and collegiate needs and requirements. We offer all graduate and undergraduate textbooks, school supplies and a variety of technical materials. To satisfy the MSU school spirit we have "The Green and White Shop".
